Join us this Saturday, May 10th at Dallas Union Station for National Train Day!  The Museum of the American Railroad will feature three of its historic trains in celebration of this nationwide event.  These pieces will be moved from Fair Park to the station, located at 400 S. Houston Street, for this one-day special showing.  Come celebrate the rich history & heritage of railroads and get a glimpse of the future when trains are the solution to today's transportation challenges.

The Museum will feature its restored 1952 General Motors F-7 Diesel locomotive, resplendent in Santa Fe's Warbonnet  paint scheme along with the 1931-built Brill motorcar M-160 (an innovation of its time).  Also featured is a beautifully restored 1925 Pullman sleeping car.

Museum representatives will provide guided tours of the equipment between noon and 4pm.  Our thanks to the Dallas Garland & Northeastern Railroad and Amtrak for their continued support.

The museum's restored  F-7 locomotive is on the lead of an historic lash-up of Santa Fe equipment on exhibit.  The General Motors unit is followed by "Doodle Bug" M-160 (Brill, 1931) followed by ex-Santa Fe lunch counter diner #1550 & 10-6 sleeping car Pine Ring.  The museum has amassed an outstanding collection of Santa Fe Railway equipment since opening in 1963.  Visit us and enjoy one of the nation's foremost collections of historic railway equipment.
