Museum Store - Reproduction Railroad Dining Car China

The Museum of the American Railroad has made a tradition of hosting a series of popular "Dinner in the Diner" events in its restored Missouri-Kansas- Texas dining car, which feature historic railroad menus and meals served in the "grand manner" on china and white linen. We are pleased to offer two patterns of reproduction railroad dining car china: Santa Fe's distinct "Mimbreno" china and the M-K-T's bluebonnet pattern.

Mimbreno china was designed especially for the Santa Fe, featuring designs based on Native American pictographs of animals and geometric patterns. Used on the deluxe Super Chief and other name trains until 1971, Mimbreno may still be found in use on Burlington Northern Santa Fe business cars. The bluebonnet pattern, based on the state flower of Texas, was part of a Texas theme used throughout MKT passenger service, and was used in the dining car preserved at the museum . Dishwasher and microwave safe. Handling charges include shipping and insurance.

Phone orders may be taken 10am-5pm Wednesday through Sunday at (214) 428-0101. Members receive a 10% discount in the museum store. Please allow 5-10 business days for shipping. ALL REPRODUCTION CHINA SALES ARE FINAL ONCE SHIPPED
