Dinner in the Diner
2006: Dining in Grand Style
Spies, assassins, romance, and the elegant style of train travel in the 1950s
characterize this year's Dinner in the Diner! Join the Age of Steam
Railroad Museum this Valentine's Day, February 14, 2006 for a murder mystery, cocktails,
entertainment, and authentic railroad dining car recipes served aboard our
restored M-K-T Dining Car! This year's theme is Alfred Hitchcock's film
North by Northwest! Guests arrive in character, and dressed in their
favorite fashions of the 1950s. Proceeds from this event will benefit The
Age of Steam's educational programs. These programs serve Dallas area children
through curriculum development, the museum's popular guided tours, and in-class
programs.
You can enjoy the night's festivities for $180 per couple or $95 per individual, and contribute to furthering educational experiences for local school children. The intimate, romantic setting of our "Katy" dining car far exceeds the atmosphere of the trendiest Dallas restaurant. Each attendee will receive a souvenir menu from this unforgettable night of mystery, suspense, and intrigue! The evening will begin with cocktails at 6:00 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:00, and an interactive murder mystery hosted by the incomparable Irwin Arnstein at 8:30. Seating in the dining car is limited, so act quickly. To reserve your place in the dining car, call (214) 428-0101. All aboard!
The Age of Steam Railroad Museum is supported in part by the Texas Commission on the Arts and the City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs.
